Kylian Mbappé’s departure to Real Madrid this summer will leave a giant hole in Paris Saint-Germain’s attack. There are several rumors about who the capital club could pursue to replace the Frenchman’s production.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has scored 44 goals and registered 10 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions for the Ligue 1 side.

One outlet uses an advanced statistical analysis tool and has an Arsenal standout as the ideal replacement for the 25-year-old. According to BeSoccer (h/t Foot Mercato), Gabriel Jesus is the best candidate to replace Mbappé.

The tool suggests that it shares about 71 percent similarity with the French attacker, based on various statistical data. These stats cover everything from typical key passes and passes in the final third of the field to defensive actions like recoveries in the opponent’s half.

It’s a bit unexpected, given that the Brazilian player has seen a decline in importance lately, with his performance dropping and no goals scored since the end of January.

Jesus has only recorded eight goals and eight assists in 36 appearances across competitions this season for Arsenal. The 27-year-old is under contract with the Gunners until 2027.
